What is all "in the air", do we want to see it or deliberately look away?
We don't see any people in the picture, nor do we know whether anyone lives in the desolate-looking building - or even what kind of building it is? It could be anywhere. The bright blue sky contrasts with it. It, too, could be anywhere. Only the title of the work gives a hint of the place and creates a link to very many existential and tragic questions. The viewer can decide for themselves to reach for the wires, and become part of the picture by doing so.
What do we do with the fact that we are part of the network that spans the entire earth?
